Hyderabad: In response to rising summer temperatures and fire risks, PCC Vice President and Sanathnagar Congress In-charge Dr. Kota Neelima urged stakeholders to remain vigilant and strictly follow fire safety norms. Following a recent commercial building fire in Maitrivanam, Ameerpet, she convened a fire safety awareness meeting with coaching centre owners, hotel managers, tenants, and officials from HYDRA, Fire Services, and Safety Departments.
Dr. Neelima highlighted negligence, electrical faults, lack of fire audits, and human errors as major causes of accidents. She stressed the need for functional hydrants, sprinklers, fire exits, and pump rooms, and called for fire extinguishers on every floor and quarterly fire drills.
