‘Crazy Kalyanam’ to release on October 16

‘Crazy Kalyanam’, starring VK Naresh, Anupama Parameswaran, Tharun Bhascker and Akhil Uddemari of ‘Raju Weds Rambayi’ fame, is gearing up for a grand worldwide theatrical release on October 16, coinciding with Dasara. Produced by Boosam Jagan Mohan Reddy under the Arrow Cinemas banner as Production No. 2, the film is directed by Badrappa Gajula. Badrappa revealed that the final copy is ready, with a promotional song currently being filmed. The director is confident that the film’s family-entertainer appeal will attract audiences.

Inspired by experiences surrounding friends’ weddings during his student days, Badrappa developed a story exploring the dreams and emotions of young girls facing early marriages in the name of family honour and societal expectations. Through an entertaining narrative blended with humour and emotion, the filmmaker hopes to encourage a more understanding approach towards girls’ aspirations.

Anupama Parameswaran reportedly embraced the role wholeheartedly, contributing her insights to several scenes. Tharun Bhascker plays a key character, showcasing nine emotions through his performance. Renowned poet Gorati Venkanna has penned three songs for the film. With relatable themes, family emotions and wedding celebrations, ‘Crazy Kalyanam’ promises an engaging theatrical experience.
