Collector asks millers to achieve CMR targets

District Collector Kumar Deepak on Monday asked the rice millers to achieve the “Custom Milled Rice ”(CMR)  targets given to them by the due date. The Collector inspected several rice mills in the district along with senior officials. He visited SRM Rice Mill in Hajipur mandal along with Additional Collector (Revenue) V. Ramulu, Gayatri Rice Mill with Mandal Tahsildar Pushpalatha, Sriram Rice Mill in Luxettipet mandal headquarters with Mandal Tahsildar Dileep Kumar, and Jai Yogeshwar Rice Mill in Dandepalli mandal with Mandal Tahsildar Rohit Deshpande.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector mentioned with an intention of ensuring the welfare of farmers, the government is procuring quality paddy from the farmers at Minimum Support Price (MSP) and transporting them to godowns and mills. Later the Collector inspected the procurement centers at Dandepalli and Korvichelma along with Tahsildar Rohit Deshpande and MPDO Prasad. He called for transparency and coordination between various departments during the procurement process. He reiterated the instruction to officials to ensure that farmers do not face any inconvenience.
