CM thanked for declaring Vasavi Matha Jayanthi as ‘State Festival’

Telangana PCC General Secretary and National Working President of International Arya Vaishya Federation Uppala Srinivas Gupta on Thursday thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for declaring Vasavi Matha Jayanthi as an “Official State Festival” of the government of Telangana and mentioned that the entire Arya Vaishya community is expressing happiness over the decision.

Speaking on the occasion, Uppala Srinivas Gupta described Vasavi Matha Jayanthi as a holy day which stands as a “spiritual and cultural symbol” of the Arya Vaishya community. The festival is celebrated every year on Vaishakha Shuddha Dashami, he informed and added that by declaring it is a state festival, the government had recognized the sentiments of the Vaishya community. He stated that the Jayanthi celebrations will be held in a big way and with more devotion starting from the village level onwards.
