CM Revanth pushes fast-track Kodangal Development

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday conducted an extensive review of the progress of key development projects in his Kodangal Assembly constituency, directing officials to accelerate execution, eliminate delays, and ensure strict accountability in implementing the government's flagship initiatives.

Launching his two day visit to Kodangal, the Chief Minister first inspected the ambitious Education Hub coming up at Hakimpet village in Dudyal mandal. During the visit, he reviewed the construction of the Young India Integrated Residential School and inspected works related to the Engineering College and hostels, Veterinary College, Government Medical College, Nursing College, Physiotherapy College, and Paramedical College.

Expressing dissatisfaction over the slow pace of construction, Revanth Reddy instructed officials to speed up the works and warned that negligence would not be tolerated. He directed departments to submit monthly progress reports for every project in the Education Hub and made it clear that officials responsible for unnecessary delays would face disciplinary action, including suspension if required.

The Chief Minister also expressed displeasure over the delay in allotting plots to farmers who had surrendered land for the Education Hub. He instructed officials to complete the process and distribute plot ownership documents to all eligible beneficiaries within the coming week.

Reiterating his commitment to closely monitor the projects, Revanth Reddy announced that he would personally inspect the progress every month and spend one day at the project site to review implementation on the ground.

Later, the Chief Minister chaired a high level review meeting on development works across the Kodangal constituency. He directed officials to ensure that every village is connected to its respective mandal headquarters through BT roads and asserted that no tribal habitation should remain without proper road connectivity. He also instructed authorities to construct Gram Panchayat buildings in all newly formed village panchayats and appoint an Executive Engineer level officer to continuously monitor development works. Keeping in view the possible impact of El Niño conditions, the Chief Minister directed officials to prepare contingency plans well in advance to ensure that no village faces a drinking water shortage.

Officials also briefed the Chief Minister on the progress of the Makthal Narayanpet Kodangal Lift Irrigation Project. Revanth Reddy instructed them to complete land acquisition without delay, assuring that the government was ready to provide the required budget and additional survey staff. He directed officials to complete land acquisition at the earliest so that the tender process could begin without further delay.

The Chief Minister is staying overnight in Kodangal. On Wednesday, he will review the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls with local leaders and Booth Level Agents before concluding his visit and returning to Hyderabad.
