CM highlights development, tribal welfare at collectorate inauguration

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said his government was committed to developing Mulugu district and addressing the concerns of tribal communities, women, the poor and unemployed. He made the remarks while inaugurating the new Mulugu Collectorate complex. Revanth Reddy recalled that he had begun his padayatra from Mulugu as Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president, seeking the blessings of tribal deities Sammakka and Saralamma. During the march, he said, he travelled across the state, visiting villages and tribal hamlets to understand people's problems and assure them of government support.

Referring to Minister Seethakka, he said she was working as an elder sister to address the problems of the people of the region. The Chief Minister said the Sammakka-Saralamma precinct at Medaram had been developed on a large scale. He also promised to sanction funds for the development of the Mallur Narasimha Swamy temple and said the government would undertake comprehensive development of the Jampanna Vagu. He said he would conduct a special review of irrigation projects in the area and sanction funds for their development.

The Chief Minister also emphasized education and skill development for tribal youth. He called for greater attention to education from nursery through Class 12 and said students should be encouraged to pursue skill-based education after completing school. With the right technical skills, he said, young people could find employment opportunities in countries such as Japan and Germany. 

On welfare measures for women, Reddy said the government had presented Indiramma sarees to women as part of traditional ceremonial gifts and announced that green sarees would be distributed this year.

The Chief Minister also launched a sharp political attack on the opposition, contrasting his government's treatment of Seethakka with what he described as the mistreatment of a sister by her own brother over property. He questioned whether such leaders could genuinely work for the welfare of women in Telangana. Calling for continued public support, the Chief Minister urged people to work together with the government to improve Telangana. “You stand by us, and together we will develop our state and solve our problems ourselves,” he said.
