In the upcoming elections for five MLC seats under the MLA quota, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded senior leader and national executive committee member Somu Veerraju as its candidate. The nomination process took place in the presence of key alliance leaders, with Veerraju expressing his gratitude towards TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu for his support and endorsement.

BJP leader and Minister Satya Kumar Yadav emphasized that Veerraju has been instrumental in expanding the party’s ideology and presence in Andhra Pradesh. He praised Veerraju’s past tenure in the Legislative Council, where he actively fought for public issues.

“With his vast experience, BJP is making a significant entry into the Legislative Council. YSRCP leaders are making false claims, they lack the necessary strength in the council, and we will counter their misinformation effectively,” he asserted. Yadav further added that Veerraju, as a senior leader, will strongly voice the concerns of the alliance in the Council.

Speaking after filing his nomination, Somu Veerraju reiterated BJP’s commitment to working alongside TDP and Janasena under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu.
