BJP condemns police force against unemployeed youth

Telangana state BJP President N Ramchander Rao today alleged that Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukaan’ is in full display and disturbing visuals emerged from Saroornagar Indoor Stadium where police were seen beating young job aspirants who gathered for recruitment to HYDRAA posts. Using police force to disperse unemployed youth is deeply painful and condemnable, Rao said in a statement here.

Even after two and a half years, the youth of Telangana are still waiting for implementation of promised commitments. The promised Rs 4,000 monthly unemployment allowance remains an illusion, the proposed Youth Commission has not delivered, assurance of Rs 10 lakh interest-free financial assistance to youth remains unimplemented. The promised job calendar and employment opportunities have failed to match the expectations created by the Congress itself.

The scenes at Saroornagar are the consequence of broken promises, failed employment policies and a government that has forgotten the very youth whose aspirations it exploited to come to power, he said and demanded the Congress government must answer why it has used police force against unemployed youth who gathered for recruitment in HYDRAA.

A stampede-like situation occurred at Saroornagar Stadium in the city as unemployed individuals flocked there for 150 driver positions with HYDRAA. The HYDRAA had announced that the recruitment events would take place on (Saturday and Sunday. Consequently, a massive turnout of the job seekers led to overcrowding and pushing. The recruitment drive for these 150 driver posts resulted in significant chaos as thousands of unemployed youths from across the state began arrives  at Saroornagar Stadium as early as 4:00 AM on Saturday morning .

With thousands turning up for only 150 vacancies, the stadium became packed with the job seekers. Frustration mounted among the candidates due to the lack of proper arrangements by officials despite them waiting in queues for hours. The youth expressed their displeasure with the organizers' conduct, noting that not even drinking water has been provided. The Job seekers lamented the officials' negligent attitude. The Local police arrived promptly and brought the situation under control.

BJP cautions cadre to be cautious

BJP Telangana State President N Ramchander Rao on Saturday called upon BJP leaders, public representatives, and party workers to focus completely on the second phase of the Special Comprehensive Revision (SIR) process undertaken by the Election Commission of India in Telangana.            

As a chief guest he was addressing a state-level workshop on Special Comprehensive Revision (SIR) Phase-2 held at 'Visvesvaraya Bhavan' in Khairatabad here. 

Rao directed party cadres to accelerate the registration of new votes via Form-6 for every eligible individual in each constituency, as only two days remain (until August 10) before the SIR process concludes. He clarified that even after this deadline, crucial tasks such as reviewing draft notifications, identifying fake votes, and filing objections will follow in the coming days.

BJP state chief advised Booth Level Agents-1 (BLA-1) and legal teams to remain constantly vigilant regarding the proper filing of Form-7 (deletion of votes) and Form-8 (corrections).
