Metro India News | AMARAVATI : Twenty-nine government school teachers from Andhra Pradesh, selected for the State’s Best Teacher Awards, are travelling to Finland for a program aimed at exposing them to innovative teaching practices and globally recognized education models. The eight-day program, being organized in collaboration with the University of Turku, will be held from August 17 to 26 across Turku and Rauma.

The teachers will participate in classroom observations, educational site visits and interactions with educators at early childhood education centers and teacher training schools. The program is designed to equip teachers with new approaches to digital learning, school leadership, mentoring and innovative classroom practices. HRD Minister Nara Lokesh described the initiative as an investment in the future of Andhra Pradesh’s students.

He expressed confidence that the participating teachers would bring back useful ideas and adapt them to the needs of the state. The teachers will also act as resource persons and mentors for other teachers at the district and mandal levels. The objective is to ensure that the knowledge gained during the program extends beyond the 29 participants and reaches a wider network of government school educators.
