AP plans to organize national games in Amaravati in 2027

CM working with a resolve to develop sports sector: SAAP Chairman

Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Chairman Animini Ravi Naidu said that the CM is making plans to organize national games in Amaravati in 2027. He said that Education Minister Nara Lokesh has taken steps to ensure excellence in sports from the school level itself, and in that direction, GOs have been issued for the establishment of school grounds.

He said that the construction of incomplete KVKs and multipurpose stadiums across the state will be expedited and put into use. He said that the Rajahmundry KVK building will be completed soon and put into use. He said that the AP sports sector will be developed by raising funds through Khelo India. Later, several coaches submitted petitions to the SAAP Chairman and requested him to take steps to resolve the sports problems. East Godavari District Kabaddi Association Secretary Buridi Trimurthulu, Treasurer V. Srinivas, East Godavari District Gymnasium Teachers Association Secretary S. Nagaraju, Treasurer S. Veerababu, Football District Association Secretary S. Gangadhar Rao and others participated in this program

Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Chairman Animini Ravi Naidu said on Sunday  that CM Chandrababu Naidu is working for the development of sports with a firm resolve that sports priorities should not change even if governments change.

He, along with Rajahmundry Rural MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdhury visited the sports development center (stadium) in the local Nagulacheruvu area on Sunday. He inspected the incomplete sports development center and inquired about the construction work with the district sports authority officials and engineering officials. He instructed that steps be taken to immediately start the work after finding out the reasons for the halt in the construction work.

Speaking to the media, the MLA said that during the tenure of combined Andhra Pradesh, a playground was set up in Rajahmundry city under the TDP rule. He said that CM Chandrababu Naidu had sanctioned funds and laid the foundations for organizing many sports events at this ground.
