Andhra Pradesh Governor Justice S. Abdul Nazeer has issued a notification appointing new Vice-Chancellors for three major universities in the state. The appointments, made for a three-year term, include distinguished academicians from premier institutions across India.
Professor G.P. Rajasekhar, a renowned mathematician, has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University. He is currently serving as a professor in the Mathematics Department at IIT Kharagpur. With an extensive academic background and research expertise, Rajasekhar is expected to bring significant advancements in education and research at Andhra University.
Professor C.S.S.R.K. Prasad has been named the Vice-Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Kakinada. He is presently a professor in the Civil Engineering Department at NIT Warangal. Prasad, known for his contributions to engineering education and research, will lead JNTU Kakinada in strengthening its academic and technical programs.
Professor P. Prakash Babu, a senior academician in the Biotechnology Department at the School of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad, has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Yogi Vemana University. His extensive research in biotechnology and life sciences is expected to enhance the university’s academic excellence and innovation.
The official notification confirming these appointments was issued by Governor Abdul Nazeer, who serves as the Chancellor of State Universities. These appointments mark a strategic move to strengthen higher education in Andhra Pradesh by bringing in experienced academicians from leading national institutions.
