A group of people attacked Telugu actor Allu Arjun’s Jubilee Hills residence on Sunday. According to sources, officials said that the attackers were from Osmania University. Police have arrested eight people involved in the attack, who reportedly belong to the university's Joint Action Committee (JAC). They were taken to the Jubilee Hills Police Station.
Osmania University panel members stormed Telugu actor Allu Arjun's Hyderabad residence, demanding Rs 1 crore compensation over a stampede death at "Pushpa 2" premiere earlier this month.
A video of the incident showed several men storming inside the actor's house and causing damage to the property. Flower pots inside the compound were also destroyed by the group. Tomatoes were also flung at the residence. They demanded Rs 1 crore compensation to the family of the 35-year-old woman who died on December 4 during the stampede at Sandhya theatre where the actor had visited for the premiere of his recent release ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule.’
Allu Arjun was not present at his residence when the incident occurred.
Responding to the incident film producer Allu Aravind said, “The incident that occurred outside our home was witnessed by everyone. Such events should never happen to anyone.”
He urged people to refrain from making hasty decisions that could lead to such actions. “In situations like these, everyone should exercise restraint. That would be for the best,” he stated.
