Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar finally ended the mystery behind why he did not revive his role in the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise post the first film. During an event, the actor candidly revealed that he was ousted from the franchise, and that is why he was not a part of the sequel and threequel.

During an interaction with Pinkvilla, a fan gushed about how Bhool Bhulaiyaa was a “cult movie”, and that he did not watch the second and third films of the franchise as Akshay was not a part of them. “Why did you not continue the franchise, sir?” the fan asked. As the audience cheered, Akshay responded, “Beta, mujhe nikaal diya tha. That’s it.” The actor refused to comment further on the topic.
