As Saiyaara completed one year since its release on Saturday, actors Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda visited Wembley Stadium to unveil an exclusive Collector’s Edition Vinyl LP of the romantic musical.

Director Mohit Suri said, “Music is the soul of any love story—be it in life or films. With Saiyaara, I felt that even more. The depth of Krish and Vaani’s relationship, the innocence, the everlasting emotions and the magic wouldn’t have been the same without the songs.”

All dues paid: Production house Yash Raj Films

Responding to Tanishk Bagchi’s claims, Yash Raj Films (YRF) said all payments have been made according to the contract. In a statement, the production house said the Saiyaara title track was composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Faheem Abdullah and Arslan Nizami, and that royalties are being shared equally among the three composers. YRF added that it has paid every collaborator their due within the mutually agreed terms and that royalty payments will continue as stipulated in the agreement. The romantic drama, directed by Mohit Suri and starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, emerged as a major box-office success, grossing nearly Rs 600 crore worldwide.

Royalties still pending: Bagchi

Composer Tanishk Bagchi has claimed that he is yet to receive Rs 8 lakh in royalties for the title track of Saiyaara, a year after the film’s release. In an Instagram post, he said he invested almost all the money he received into the song’s production, leaving him with “zero” earnings. Bagchi said the royalty amount was “peanuts” considering the song’s millions of streams and views. He added that the experience has changed his outlook on the industry and that he would now work only with producers and directors who value creativity and the people behind the music. However, he praised director Mohit Suri and lyricist Irshad Kamil for their support.
