Abhishek Bachchan on his marriage with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan amid long-standing divorce rumours

There has been considerable discussion about Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s marriage. At several points, it seemed as though they might be on the verge of divorce. However, that never happened, and such rumours have always been dismissed. Speaking about his marriage, Abhishek recently shared that it has always been a partnership, never about what each person brings to the table.

In a recent podcast with Lilly Singh, Abhishek said, “We weren’t in a relationship together. We were always buddies. We were always friends.” He further explained that their romantic relationship developed later during their courtship.

Abhishek said, “It was always about a partnership.” The actor added that there has never been any discussion between them about who would bring what to the table, as these things came naturally in their relationship. He also mentioned that this did not stem from ego. He added, “I was always brought up to believe you earn your wins.” He further addressed how it is common for children from film families to be launched by their parents, but noted that his journey was different.

Abhishek talks about parenting Aaradhya

He also spoke about how he and Aishwarya are raising their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. The actor said, “In my home, as parents, both of us try to be the best example for Aaradhya instead of telling her what is right and what is wrong. We believe in showing what to do by being that ourselves.” Abhishek explained that they do not explicitly try to teach Aaradhya; instead, they focus on leading a life grounded in morals and values, allowing her to learn naturally.

Both believe that effective parenting comes from leading by example. However, he acknowledged that their world as artists is very different, and their child’s world will likely be very different as well.
