In the wake of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, actor Anupam Kher has strongly condemned the incident, expressing profound sorrow and anger over what he described as a “brutal massacre.”

Sharing a heartfelt video on his official X handle, Kher said, “Today, the massacre that took place with the Hindus in Pahalgam... Hindus have been killed one after the other. I do feel sad, but there is no limit to my anger and rage. There is no limit to my anger and rage.”

Reflecting on the long-standing struggles of the Kashmiri Hindu community, Kher linked the attack to historical suffering, referencing his film The Kashmir Files. He remarked, “They are choosing them, deciding their religion and killing them. There are no words. Sometimes, words are incomplete and meaningless. Because what you are feeling is too much.”

Kher also expressed anguish over the sight of a grieving woman whose husband was among the victims of the attack. Urging the Indian leadership to respond with decisive action, he said, “I would like to request the Prime Minister of the country, Mr. Narendra Modi, Mr. Amit Shah, and the entire government, to teach these terrorists a lesson that they will not be able to do such a thing for the next seven lives.”

He concluded his video message with a powerful statement: “This is wrong. This is wrong. This is wrong... in any part of the world. But in our country, in Pahalgam, the massacre that took place today is very wrong.” Kher captioned his post with a few haunting words: “Wrong... Wrong... Wrong!!! Pahalgam massacre!! Words are impotent today!!”
