One-day Hindi workshop was organized By Union Bank of India for nominated employees under the jurisdiction of Regional Office, Secunderabad on August 19, 2026. A total of 38 employees (6 officers and 32 employees) participated in the workshop. The workshop was inaugurated by the Area Chief Bhaskar B. The Area Chief said that emphasis should be laid on the use of Hindi more and more in the day-to-day work of banking. He said that keeping in mind the customers, the official language should also be promoted by resorting to the local language in business.
Renuka, Assistant Manager (Official Language) stressed on the need to ensure the use of Hindi in bilingual language at branch/office level in the first, second and final sessions and in internal work. Prem Kumar, Senior Manager (Raj Bhasha), Retd, IOB in the second session quoted the provisions relating to Official Language in the Official Language Act, 1963 and the Official Language Rules, 1976 in the Constitution.
