Traffic curbs for Sri Ramanavami Shobha Yatra on March 27

The Hyderabad Traffic Police has issued a detailed advisory ahead of the Sri Ramanavami Shobha Yatra scheduled on March 27 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., warning of major diversions and congestion across key city routes. The procession will begin at Seetarambagh Temple and pass through Bhoiguda Kaman, Mangalhat, Dhoolpet, Puranapul, Jummerath Bazar, Begum Bazar, Afzalgunj, Gowliguda, Putlibowli and Sultan Bazar before concluding at Hanuman Vyayamshala School.

Police said traffic will be regulated in phases, with diversions enforced as the procession moves along the route. Vehicles from Asif Nagar, Aghapura, Darusalam and surrounding areas will be diverted towards Nampally, Mehdipatnam and Charkhandil at different stages. Traffic from MJ Bridge, Afzalgunj and Nayapool will also be rerouted via alternative roads including City College, Central Library and CBS.

Key junctions such as Begum Bazar Chatri, Afzalgunj, Shivaji Bridge, MJ Market, GPO Abids, Putlibowli, Koti, Chaderghat and Kachiguda are expected to witness heavy congestion throughout the day. Authorities stated that normal traffic movement will be restored once the procession clears each junction.
