Hyderabad: Malayalam star Tovino Thomas is set to headline the big-budget film Pallichattambi, produced by Noufal, Brijeesh, Chanukya, Chaitanya, and Charan under World Wide Films and C Cube Bros Entertainments. Directed by Dijo Jose Antony and featuring Kayadu Lohar as the heroine, the film is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on April 10 in five languages: Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. A press meet was recently held in Hyderabad.
Set in 1950s Kerala, Pallichattambi is a period action-emotional entertainer highlighting human struggles and universal themes. Director Dijo Jose Antony said the story conveys “Love, Live, Love” and retains the original title across languages for authenticity. The film blends historical accuracy with a narrative appealing to modern audiences.
Tovino Thomas praised the project, noting extensive research and a passionate team effort to recreate the era authentically. Kayadu Lohar, portraying Rebecca, called it a dream role, highlighting her preparation and chemistry with Tovino. Actor Shatru, in his first Malayalam film, said he was impressed by the story and enjoyed dubbing for his own role.
Lyricist Rambabu Gosala, working on the Telugu songs, expressed excitement about collaborating with Tovino for the third time, praising music director Jakes Bejoy. Producers emphasized the film’s broad appeal, with Bunny Vas supporting its Telugu release. The technical team includes Manjusha Radhakrishnan (costumes), Rashid Ahmed (makeup), Dileep Nath (production design), Tijo Tomy (cinematography), and Sreejith Sarang (editing).
Associate producer Meghashyam and the production team noted the collaborative effort behind the film, promising a high-quality cinematic experience. Pallichattambi features a strong supporting cast including Vijayaraghavan, Sudheer Karamana, Babu Raj, Vinod Kedamangalam, and Prashanth Alexander.
