Dedicated Web Portal and Mobile App launched by Ministers Konda Surekha and D Sridhar Babu

Telangana is gearing up for Saraswati Pushkaralu 2025, a 12-day spiritual event scheduled to be held from May 15 to 26 at Triveni Sangam, Kaleshwaram in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, where the Godavari, Pranahita, and Saraswati rivers converge. As part of the preparations, Ministers Konda Surekha and D. Sridhar Babu launched a dedicated website and mobile app to provide devotees with real-time information on facilities, rituals, transportation, and accommodation. The government has earmarked Rs 35 crore for infrastructure development and seamless conduct of this 12-day spiritual event.

Key infrastructure initiatives include the installation of a majestic 17-foot monolithic idol of Goddess Saraswati at the newly constructed Saraswati Ghat, expansion of existing bathing ghats, and construction of modern amenities such as showers, changing rooms, cooling pavilions, permanent toilets, drinking water arrangements, and CC roads around the temple. A 100-room hostel, dormitory, and a 100-room tent city have been built to accommodate the large number of pilgrims expected daily. Special RTC bus services will operate across the state, supported by dedicated parking zones with essential facilities like water points and mobile toilets.

Spiritual and cultural programs are a core part of the celebrations, including daily Pushkara Snanam led by revered Peethadhipatis from renowned spiritual institutions. The festival opens with Sri Sri Sri Madhavananda Saraswati Swami from Medak on May 15. A special Aarti will be performed each evening by priests from Kashi, along with daily homas and cultural performances. Devotees will receive free Prasadam (Laddu and Pulihora), Annadanam, and access to 24x7 medical camps at key locations. A toll-free helpline will assist pilgrims, and CCTV surveillance will ensure safety and crowd management throughout the event.

Endowments Minister Konda Surekha highlighted that under the current government, emphasis has been laid on revitalizing temple festivals, infrastructure, and cultural events that were previously neglected. She reaffirmed the commitment to providing a dignified and seamless experience for all devotees, especially women and children.

IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu emphasized the cultural and spiritual significance of the Saraswati Pushkaralu, stating that this sacred event mirrors the sanctity of Prayag in the North and is a matter of pride for Telangana.

Principal Secretary (Endowments) Shailaja Ramaiyar (IAS), Endowments Commissioner Sridhar (IAS), Advisor to Dharmika Parishad Govinda Hari, Bhupalpally District Collector Rahul Sharma, Temple EO Mahesh, and several officials were present at the launch.
