Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Friday officially opened the Road Over Bridge (ROB) at LC No. 7 along the Secunderabad–Falaknuma–Shivarampally Railway Line. This bridge links Mailardevpally to the Falaknuma RTC depot through Shastripuram in Hyderabad.
The four-lane ROB , with a length of 490 m and width of 16.6 m (railway span: 37.28 m), has been constructed under EPC mode at a cost of Rs 71 crore. The structure is equipped with modern engineering features including steel girders, RCC precast elements, POT-PTFE bearings, and modular expansion joints, ensuring enhanced safety, durability, and efficient traffic movement.
The project is expected to significantly improve connectivity in the region, reducing travel time by approximately 30 minutes while also contributing to reduced fuel consumption and lower vehicular emissions, thereby supporting environmental sustainability. Chief Whip Patnam Mahender Reddy, GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan, along with other public representatives and officials were present on the occasion.
