SP instructs police to ensure smooth paddy procurement

Superintendent of Police Sirishetty Sankirth has instructed police officials to extend full cooperation for the swift transportation of paddy and to ensure smooth procurement operations amid the forecast of rains in the coming days. The SP directed that local police station officers should continuously monitor all paddy procurement centers and rice mills falling under their jurisdiction. To resolve farmers’ issues on the ground, SP Sankirth made a surprise visit on Friday to a rice mill in the district.

Accompanied by DSP Sampath Rao and Circle Inspector Naresh Kumar, he inspected Venkateshwara Agro Industries Rice Mill at Gorlaveedu village. During the visit, the SP enquired in detail about the stock of paddy available, the processing methods, and the daily quantity of paddy the mill was procuring. Speaking on the occasion, SP Sankirth instructed millers to procure the maximum possible quantity of paddy directly from farmers.

He emphasized that loading and unloading operations should be carried out rapidly so that farmers do not face any difficulties, especially with the likelihood of rains in the coming days. The SP warned officials to maintain strict vigilance to ensure that the entire paddy procurement and transportation process is completed without any hurdles.
