District Collector Dr S Venkateshwar said on Sunday that the “Rythanna Mee Kosam” program will be held from March 16 to 18 and from March 23 to 25 in the district. The District Collector has given directions to the Agriculture and Revenue officers through teleconference on the arrangements to be made for the program to be held across the district. Agriculture Department JD S Prasad Rao and others participated in the teleconference.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector instructed the officials of the Agriculture and Revenue Departments to conduct awareness programs in every village on the welfare programs being provided to the farmers by the state government.

Steps should be taken to install the AP AIIMS app on every farmer's mobile phone, the collector instructed. The app has been designed to help farmers to know about pests, weather conditions, market rates, e-crop registration, etc.

He also said that this year due to El Nino, there is a possibility of deficit rainfall conditions and high temperatures and so there is a need to create awareness among the farmers to adopt crop rotation practices as well as use of pre-monsoon dry sowing PMDS kits extensively. Each team of officials should visit 90 houses in the village every day to create awareness and submit the in the form of a daily report, collector Dr. S Venkateshwar said.
