Donald Trump
US President
Washington: US President Donald Trump has shared an AI-generated video portraying himself as “Dr Trump” offering a fictional cure for what he calls “Trump derangement syndrome” (TDS).
Posted on Truth Social and later shared on X by White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino Jr, the clip mimics a television medical advertisement.
It features AI-generated versions of celebrities including Julia Roberts, Robert De Niro, Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie O’Donnell, John Leguizamo and Edward Norton, all longtime Trump critics.
The post comes amid growing calls from the entertainment industry for stronger laws to regulate AI-generated deepfakes using performers' likenesses.
Iran has agreed to key n-terms: POTUS
US President Trump said Iran had agreed to “just about everything we need” in negotiations over its nuclear programme, while reiterating that Tehran would never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon. In an interview with CNBC, Trump said the US objective was the “denuking of Iran”, not regime change.
Trump also said the US could supply Iran with agricultural products, including corn, wheat and soybeans, if a deal is reached. Further, Trump said it is “ridiculous” for the US to continue its “one-sided” relationship with Nato, less than a week before a Nato summit in Ankara.
Meanwhile, Cuba’s Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Fernandez de Cossio said on Facebook the US has been pressuring nations to end bilateral healthcare programmes with Havana, warning that doing so would deprive many communities of access to health services..
