Union Minister G Kishan Reddy on Saturday participated in the international Women's Day celebrations held at the BJP city office in Hyderabad.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that On International Women's Day, the world was moving forward on the issue of how to overcome women's issues and promote the women's community and added that On the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president JP Nadda, they were celebrating the Women's Day in all cities, towns and villages of the country.

“Everyone should take inspiration from the way women are facing challenges and moving forward.  India is a country that gives the utmost respect to women.  The Women play a key role in flying fighter aircraft, as pilots, and in designing space technology. In banks, in the police and revenue departments, as teachers, in the IT sector, in any field, the women are working with a lot of faith, courage and dedication. PM Narendra Modi has given an opportunity to women in the Army as there should be no discrimination in any field,” he said.

Reddy said that even in the scorching sun and bone-chilling cold, the women jawans were guarding the country's borders with AK-47 guns. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that women need to be at the forefront of the political arena too and he has taken the initiative to provide reservations from ward member posts to the members of Parliament post. No Congress prime minister has dared to provide the reservation for women. 

Only our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has passed a bill to provide 33 per cent reservation for the women in lok sabha and assembly elections. PM Modi is encouraging women in all aspects.  Drones have been provided under the Didi scheme to encourage the women in the agriculture sector,” he said.

‘Modi is showing women empowerment to the world’

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Saturday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was a great person, who shows women's empowerment in his hands.

In a statement on the occasion of International Women's Day, he described the women as embodiments of power and added that the BJP was the only party that respects women and works for their upliftment. 

"The BJP is the party that has given the responsibility of the president of India and union finance minister to women. Referring to the Mahila Shakti program of the state government, he asked CM Revanth Reddy whether it was limited to big announcements and speeches only.”

 He questioned the state government as to what happened to the promise of Rs 2,500 per month to all eligible women of the state.

He asked the government as to what happened to its promise of one Tola gold and Scotty to the women of the state.

Bandi Sanjay Kumar praised the women of Telangana as the descendants of Rani Rudrama Devi. He warned that the rulers who are deceiving women would have to be burnt with sticks.

He said that the BJP was a party that worships women as Goddess Lakshmi, Saraswati and Goddess Durga. He said that PM Modi was a great man, who gives the true definition of the women's power by giving tap connections to eight crore families in the name of women, Jan Dhan bank accounts to 25 crore women and Rs 10 lakh crore to nearly 25 crore women under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana without any collateral.
