Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas is gearing up for the release of his big-budget film “Pallichattambi,” directed by Dijo Jose Antony and starring Kayadu Lohar as the female lead. Produced by Noufael, Brijesh, Chanakya, Chaitanya, and Charan under Worldwide Films and C Cube Bros Entertainments, the film will hit theatres on April 10 in five languages including Telugu.
Speaking about the film, Tovino said he had long wanted to collaborate with Dijo and immediately agreed after hearing the story. He underwent a physical transformation, gaining weight and changing his look to suit the role. He described the film as a fictional story inspired by 1950s Kerala, focusing on social conditions and conveying a message of equality and humanity.
He also clarified that the film does not target any religion and mainly explores socio-political themes. Music for the film is composed by Jakes Bejoy.
Kayadu Lohar said the film is a meaningful project in her career, where she plays a strong and intellectual character named Rebecca. She expressed confidence that the film will appeal to family audiences and leave a lasting impact.
