Chairman and Managing Director of The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti on Friday toured the Ramagundam-1 Area and reviewed mine production, employee welfare, safety measures and infrastructure facilities.

During his visit to GDK-11 Incline, the CMD interacted with employees, officers and workers, and sought suggestions for the company’s development. He discussed measures to enhance coal production, productivity and quality, besides outlining the company’s future plans.

Stating that Singareni’s experience, discipline and collective work culture make it a unique organisation, the CMD said the company gives equal importance to employee welfare and safety along with production growth.

He inaugurated the fifth Man Riding System at the mine, stating that it would help employees travel safely and comfortably between the surface and underground workplaces while reducing physical strain. He also felicitated employees involved in the installation of the system and other developmental works.

Director (Operations) L.V. Suryanarayana said GDK-11 is Singareni’s second-largest mine in terms of productivity and mechanisation. He advised officials to utilise modern machinery effectively to reduce operational costs and achieve production targets.

Director (Projects & Planning) K. Venkateswarlu urged employees to work collectively to bring the mine to a zero-loss position.

Later, the CMD inspected GDK-5 Opencast Mine and reviewed coal and overburden production, machinery utilisation and transportation. He instructed officials to maintain safety, efficiency and quality while meeting targets.

He also visited Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the Ramagundam-1 Area and reviewed sports and recreational facilities for employees and their families.
