Minister Sridhar Babu reaffirms govt’s commitment to innovation

Telangana Minister for Information Technology and Industries D. Sridhar Babu has reaffirmed the state government's commitment to supporting innovative and sincere ideas, assuring entrepreneurs and innovators that Telangana offers an environment where genuine ideas can find encouragement, opportunities, and the confidence needed to grow. 

he minister was speaking as the Chief Guest at the inaugural “Hyderabad Economic Forum 2026”, held at SAS iTower in Khajaguda under the theme "One City, One Vision, Infinite Opportunities”.

Minister Sridhar Babu outlined several initiatives undertaken by the state to foster innovation, including iComm, the Telangana Data Exchange, a proposed Rs 1,000-crore ‘Fund of Funds’ for startups, the planned AI University, a Skill University and 100 Advanced ITIs. Speaking at the event, SAS Infra Chairman Dr. G.V. Rao said Hyderabad's greatest strength lies in its ability to excel simultaneously across multiple sectors, including technology, life sciences, retail, real estate, sports, and entertainment. Delegates at the event examined how emerging technologies, strategic investments, and collaborative ecosystems can accelerate Hyderabad's growth trajectory.
