Recently, Ektaa shared a powerful message about body positivity, using her platform to encourage the normalisation of curves and the need for better representation of women of all body types in the entertainment industry. In a video posted on her social media, Ektaa boldly declared, “Let’s normalise. Curves!!!!” She emphasised the importance of embracing diverse body types, which is often overlooked in mainstream media, especially in Bollywood.
In the video, Ektaa spoke about a conversation she had with an actress for an upcoming franchise. The actress, she mentioned, was discussing her role, and Ektaa made it clear that the project was not related to her popular show Naagin. The key part of the conversation was when Ektaa encouraged the actress to gain weight in a healthy way, emphasising that there should be more representation for women with diverse body types in the entertainment industry.
ktaa explained her point further, saying, “Because thoda sa toh representation chahiye. For women above 30 jinke metabolism pe hamla ho raha hai age ka, hormones ka. Uska representation toh chahiye.” (Because there needs to be some representation for women over 30 whose metabolism is affected by age and hormones. That representation is much needed.)
