Government Advisor K. Keshava Rao has clarified that the primary objective of the Congress government is to ensure justice for all activists, who participated directly or indirectly in the movement for the achievement of a separate Telangana state. An all-party meeting was held at the Secretariat on Thursday with the committee constituted under the chairmanship of K. Keshavarao, aimed at ensuring recognition and respect for Telangana activists.

Later, speaking to the media, Keshava Rao, along with committee members, including Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, MLCs Kodandaram and Addanki Dayakar, Ramulu Nayak and Shoban Reddy, said that the State government had constituted a committee to identify the activists of the Telangana movement. The meeting was held with the recognized political parties, specifically those associated with the movement to facilitate the identification of activists.

"Suggestions and recommendations were solicited regarding their expectations and viewpoints. Measures are being undertaken to identify the first-generation activists of the movement," Keshava Rao said. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said the committee has invited representatives from all political parties, with two members from each party. He stated that in addition to political parties, consultations will also be held with employees, students, journalists, and lawyers. He made it clear that justice will be ensured for all those who suffered injuries or sustained losses across various sectors.

The Minister stated that the committee's office will be inaugurated at the Martyrs' Memorial Stupam soon. MLC Kodandaram stated that activists are appealing for support, noting that they had sacrificed the valuable time of their youth during the Telangana movement.  Furthermore, MLC Kodandaram clarified that JACs representing all universities also exist, and that they would hold meetings with them as well.
