Ishaan shares uncensored glimpse

Ishaan Khatter took to social media to revisit Homebound on the film’s first anniversary, sharing an uncensored glimpse that gives audiences a look at a scene that had previously been altered for its theatrical release. The post comes as Homebound continues to remain an important part of Ishaan’s career. Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, the film was selected as India’s official entry for the 98th Academy Awards. 

Ishaan’s The Royals S2 sees director Jasmeet K Reen exit

The second season of The Royals is currently being filmed in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, with Ishaan Khatter, Nora Fatehi and other cast members reprising their roles from the first season. However, Bhumi Pednekar is reportedly not returning for the new season. Meanwhile, the series has reportedly undergone a directorial change, with Jasmeet K Reen exiting the project after three days of shooting. 

According to report, Netflix had brought Reen on board following her collaboration with the streamer on Alia Bhatt-starrer Darlings. However, a source cited by the publication claimed that differences over scripting and execution led to her exit. 

Mitakshara Kumar steps in

Mitakshara has reportedly replaced Reen as the director. Kumar has assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali on films including Bajirao Mastaani, Padmaavat and Gangubai Kathiawadi. She also directed episodes of Heeramandi. “We haven’t lost any working hours,” a source told the publication, claiming that Kumar stepped in without causing further delays.
