India–U.S. agricultural cooperation received a fresh boost following a high-level dialogue led by IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani during a visit to the United States. The meeting, hosted by the U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC) in Washington, D.C., focused on strengthening bilateral collaboration in agriculture and addressing common challenges facing farmers in both countries.

A delegation from the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), headed by Sanghani, participated in the discussions with representatives from the agricultural, policy, and business sectors. Following the meeting, USIBC highlighted the engagement on its official social media platforms, describing it as an important step toward deepening agricultural ties between India and the United States.

According to USIBC, the discussions explored opportunities for cooperation in innovation-driven agricultural policies, sustainable farming practices, food security, and farmer welfare. Participants also examined ways to enhance agricultural productivity through the adoption of advanced technologies, improved soil health management, and stronger technical support systems for farmers.

The council emphasized that closer collaboration between the two countries could help develop practical solutions to shared agricultural challenges while creating new opportunities for growth and innovation. Experts and industry representatives from both sides agreed that expanded cooperation would benefit farmers and strengthen long-term agricultural resilience.

The recognition accorded to the meeting by USIBC is being viewed as a reflection of IFFCO’s growing international presence and the increasing global relevance of India’s cooperative movement. It also highlights Sanghani’s role in representing the interests of Indian farmers on international platforms.
