CM dines with family benefiting from welfare scheme Revanth launches ‘Lunch with Beneficiaries’ to connect with people

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy added a personal touch to governance on Sunday by sharing a hearty lunch with a beneficiary family of the state’s ambitious “Fine Rice” distribution scheme that kick-started on the auspicious Ugadi festival eve last week.

After attending the Srirama Navami celebrations in Bhadrachalam, the CM visited Sarapaka village in Burgampadu mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district, where he dined with the family of Buram Srinivas, a recipient of the fine rice provided through Fair Price shops.

During the warm and candid interaction, homemaker Tulasamma expressed her gratitude to the Chief Minister, saying the shift from coarse to fine rice had significantly improved their daily meals. “Earlier, we avoided coarse rice due to poor quality. Now, our family enjoys fine rice every day, thanks to the government,” she said with a smile.

The Chief Minister also engaged the family in a discussion about other welfare initiatives, including the free power supply of up to 200 units and the subsidized cooking gas cylinders at Rs 500. Tulasamma also appreciated the free bus travel facility, calling it a boon for working women like her.

This heartfelt lunch marked the beginning of CM Revanth Reddy’s unique outreach program—“Lunch with Beneficiary Families”—aimed at connecting with citizens directly and receiving ground-level feedback on flagship welfare schemes.
