‘Development and welfare drive people’s governance’

State Government BC Welfare Advisor V. Hanumantha Rao said that development and welfare are progressing together under the people-centric governance being implemented by the Telangana government. Speaking at the Telangana Formation Day celebrations in Kamareddy on Tuesday, he said the government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, has introduced several transformative reforms aimed at public welfare and development.

Earlier, Hanumantha Rao, along with District Collector Ashish Sangwan, SP Rajesh Chandra, Agro Corporation Chairman Kasula Balaraju and other officials, paid tributes to Telangana martyrs at the Martyrs’ Memorial and later hoisted the National Flag at the Collectorate.

Highlighting development works in the district, he said foundation stones were laid for 9,448 government buildings, while roofing work was completed for 5,386 structures. Under Rajiv Aarogyasri, treatment worth Rs.49 crore was provided to 18,445 beneficiaries. He said 1.73 lakh households benefited from the Gruha Jyothi free electricity scheme and over 11,600 houses were sanctioned under Indiramma Housing.

The advisor also noted that Rs.839 crore had been paid to farmers for paddy procurement, while assistance was extended through Rythu Bharosa and Rythu Bima schemes. Awards were presented to police personnel and students during the celebrations, while beneficiaries received sanction letters and compensation assistance. Cultural performances by students added color to the event.
