CM Revanth urges NABARD to provide loans at low interest rates

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has urged  NABARD Chairman Shaji KV to consider offering loans at lower interest rates through the RIDF and to approve necessary funding for Micro Irrigation projects.

During a meeting at the Assembly on Friday, Shaji KV visited the Chief Minister, who urged him to enhance the support for existing Cooperative Societies and to establish additional new ones.

The discussion also focused on strengthening Women Self Help Groups, with Revanth Reddy requesting the initiation of a special program targeted at these groups.

The Chief Minister asked NABARD to assist in boosting the milling capacity by connecting IKPs, Godowns and Rice Mills in Telangana State.

He directed the officials to ensure that the NABARD funds allocated for the current fiscal year are utilised by March 31 and to take advantage of all NABARD-sponsored programs in the upcoming financial year.

Revanth Reddy instructed the officials to utilise the NABARD funds which have been sanctioned in the current financial year by March 31 and also make use of all schemes sponsored by  NABARD  in the next financial year.

The Chief Minister suggested to link the  solar power generation plants sanctioned to the women groups to NABARD and appealed to the Bank chairman to increase rural connectivity in the newly created Gram Panchayats.

On the occasion, the NABARD Chairman proposed to the Chief Minister to constitute DCCBs in the new districts. Tandur MLA Manohar Reddy and NABARD representatives were also present in the meeting.
