Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, known for his bold and thought-provoking films, took to social media to celebrate World Theatre Day by sharing throwback pictures from his early theatre days. In the post, he reminisced about his first appearance on stage and the memories he shared with his wife, actress Pallavi Joshi.

Agnihotri shared a picture from his debut stage performance as Bharat in Abhigyan Shakuntalam, where his first dialogue was with a lion, saying, “Aa sher, main tere daant ginoon.” He revealed that former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the chief guest at the performance.

He also shared a photo of Pallavi Joshi as a child actor in a Gujarati play, noting that both he and his wife began their theatre journeys at nearly the same age.

In the caption, Agnihotri wrote, “On this #WorldTheatreDay presenting my first appearance on stage as Bharat in Abhigyan Shakuntalam. My first dialogue was with a lion: ‘Aa sher, main tere daant ginoon’. Atal Bihari Bajpayee was the chief guest. And in the second photo, my wife, Pallavi Joshi, is seen as a child actor in a Gujarati play. Both of us started theatre at almost the same age. #WorldTheatreDay. Please share your memories of your first experience of theatre.”
