The sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, Central Zone team along with Nampally Police arrested a person in Bazar Ghat for printing and circulating counterfeit currency. Arrested person has been identified as Pabbati Murali Krishna (38), resident of Khammam.
Police have seized counterfeit Indian currency Rs 11,10,500 (500 rupee denomination), a cell phone, computer system, one black and white printer, scanning and colour printer, one laminating heater machine, paper cutter, screen printing wooden frame, liquid colour refills used to fill in colour printer, paper blade cutter, snap off blades, steel scale, glass frame and other materials.
Accused Pabbati Murali Krishna is a habitual offender in printing counterfeit currency. He procured Computer system, colour Printer, Scanner, Screen printing machine, Heat machine and by using similar paper of currency notes (ledger paper) and by placing the original currency note in the scanner machine, affixing Watermarks of Mahatma Gandhi and printing the colour copies using colour printer and applying the windowed security thread (green) with heating machine counterfeit notes are prepared.
These note copies are then cut to similar dimensions of original notes with the help of a cutting machine and made into a bundle and circulated in the market through his associates. He is exchanging the fake currency of 1 lakh with 14,000 original currency and trying to gain easy money illegally.
