Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar unveiled three books at SRR College on Thursday. After unveiling three books “Ramayana Kalpavriksham – Lokanushilanam” by Dr Gandra Lakshmana Rao, “Dr Velichala Kondal Rao Jeevitham – Vangmaya Seva” by Dr Mandaloju Narasimha Swamy and “Fragrance of Life” (English translation) by Professor Kaluvakunta Ramakrishna, Union Minister Bandi Sanjay said.

“It is a privilege and honor for an ordinary person like me to unveil books written by three eminent scholars. Your writings and poetry reflect society and serve as lessons for all of us. Sometimes, they even act as moral lessons, guiding our behavior.”

You regularly highlight the good and the bad in society through your writings, keeping everyone alert. The words you pen about the ways of the world serve as constant warnings for people like us. Therefore, we pay close attention to the words of scholars like Kondal Rao, Dr Gandra Lakshmana Rao, and Dr Kaluvakunta Ramakrishna. You all are guides for people like us, said the Union Minister.

There is no need to introduce Kondal Rao separately. He is an inspiration for this generation. His dedication and professional ethics are exemplary for many of us. Writing about his life and literary service would itself be worthy of a Ph.D. thesis. The “Jayanti” magazine he runs is a testament to his literary service, said Bandi Sanjay Kumar. As for Lakshmana Rao, his stature as a scholar is immense.

He is well-known not just in Telugu states but everywhere. I have often listened to his speeches. For all of us, Lord Rama and the Ramayana are treasures close to our hearts. The Ramayana is eternal, and no matter how many times we hear it, it always feels new. Lord Rama is the epitome of virtue and an inspiration for all. He not only preached ideals but also lived by them, said Bandi Sanjay.

Author Vishwanatha Satyanarayana gifted us the classic “Ramayana Kalpavriksham”, which moved millions of people. Writing an analysis or commentary on the book itself is a daring feat. Dr. Gandra Lakshmana Rao achieved this with his work “Ramayana Kalpavriksham – Lokanushilanam”.

He has skillfully gathered the gems from the Kalpavriksham and presented them in a natural, simple, and understandable manner for everyone. His literary service is truly commendable, and I cannot help but applaud him, Minister said. On this occasion, Bandi Sanjay requested all the eminent scholars and writers present there that moral values are declining in society. Family bonds are weakening.

Under the guise of foreign culture, there is a significant attack on national identity. Corporate forces are imposing foreign ideals and culture on us. I urge you to write literature and poetry rooted in dharma. Efforts to impose falsehoods and personal agendas on society must be resisted. Remember, failing to oppose such falsehoods is also a mistake.

Please enlighten today’s youth about the greatness of our culture and traditions. If we lose ourselves to foreign fancies and forget our heritage, the damage will be immense. Create works that highlight family bonds and moral values. Encourage people to read books like these instead of limiting themselves to television, serials, and the internet, said the Minister.
