Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu lauded the remarkable achievements of Indians, particularly Telugus, in the global technology sector, noting their leadership roles in top tech companies across major innovation hubs such as Silicon Valley.

Speaking at an event organized by VIT-AP University in Amaravati, Naidu praised the community’s growing influence worldwide. “Wherever you go across the globe, Indians—and especially Telugus—are excelling and securing prestigious positions through sheer talent and determination,” he said.

During the program, the Chief Minister inaugurated several new development projects on the VIT-AP campus. He also formally launched the "V-Launch Pad 2025" incubation center, aimed at nurturing new startup ideas and fostering innovation among students.

Addressing students, Naidu expressed his appreciation for the fact that 95% of VIT-AP students secured placements through campus recruitment.  However, he urged them not to settle merely for jobs but to aspire toward entrepreneurship and leadership, creating companies that offer employment to others.

Recalling his earlier tenure, Naidu emphasized his pioneering efforts in promoting the Information Technology sector, notably constructing Hyderabad’s HITEC City within just 14 months. “At that time, I proclaimed that IT was the future. Now, times have changed. Technologies like quantum computing and artificial intelligence are reshaping the world, and we must focus on promoting these new-age fields,” he said.

Highlighting the shift in youth aspirations, Naidu noted, “There was a time when there was fierce competition even for government attender jobs. Today, young people are prioritizing careers in the IT sector, reflecting changing societal priorities.”

In his message to the students, Naidu stressed the importance of growing beyond conventional career paths to become “global citizens.” Emphasizing the global leadership of Indians, Naidu pointed out that major companies like Microsoft and Google are being led by Indians and Telugus, setting an inspiring example for the students.

Naidu advocated for transforming Amaravati’s educational institutions into global hubs, attracting students not only from Andhra Pradesh but also from across India and abroad. “Only by creating such an environment we can truly groom global citizens,” he said, announcing that a Ratan Tata Innovation Hub would soon be established in Amaravati.

The Chief Minister emphasized the need to support startups by fostering collaboration between industrialists and educational institutions. “We must create a conducive ecosystem so that our children can grow to offer world-class services,” he said. Highlighting digital governance achievements, Naidu mentioned that Andhra Pradesh now provides over 1,000 government services through WhatsApp, bringing administration closer to the people.

Outlining his broader vision, Naidu revealed that a roadmap for 'Swarnandhra Pradesh 2047' is being prepared, aiming to increase per capita income to Rs.58 lakh. He underscored the need for real-time solutions to real-time problems using real-time data. “Terror attacks cannot deter India; we have the collective strength to protect our nation,” Naidu asserted. He recalled the mass mobilization under the Janmabhoomi program and called for renewed efforts under the ‘Bangaru Kutumbam’ initiative to build a poverty-free society.

Calling on the youth to embrace innovation for success, Naidu reiterated his vision of Amaravati as a clean, green, and blue-green city. "Our goal is to transform Amaravati into a knowledge hub, hosting around five lakh students," he added.
