A Shanthi Kumari, Chief Secretary, Government of Telangana, said everyone should have time for sports in their lives. Playing sports makes a person mentally strong, not just physically.

Speaking on the occasion of closing ceremony of the Hyderabad City Police Annual Sports and Games Meet-2025, which was held at the Shivakumar Lal, GoshaMahal Police Stadium on Thursday, Chief Guest and Chief Secretary Shanthi Kumari praised Hyderabad City Police for efforts they put in annual sports and games meet.    

Later, in the presence of the chief guests, the men and women participated in the 100 meter race, tug of war, horse jumping and pegging, dazzling dance performances and patriotic songs, which impressed the chief guests, audience and all those present.

At the closing ceremony, the chief guest and guests of honour presented trophies and medals to winners. In the 4-day Sports and Games, CAR Headquarters emerged as the first winner and CSW-Task Force teams stood second.

C V Anand, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, praised the employees for their competitive spirit and sportsmanship. He said that sports increase willpower, ability to overcome setbacks and strengthen self-confidence.
