With the upcoming launch of the P-4 scheme by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday, preparations are in full swing behind the State Secretariat. The P-4 initiative, which stands for Public, Private, People, Partnership, aims to eradicate poverty by adopting and supporting the most economically disadvantaged 20 percent of the population.
The state government has been actively engaging with the public to gather suggestions and feedback on the P-4 scheme. The grand inauguration event will take place in Amaravati on the occasion of the Ugadi festival. Scheduled from 5 PM to 7 PM on March 30, officials have made arrangements to ensure all attendees arrive at the venue by 3 PM.
To facilitate participation, self-help groups, students, farmers, and laborers from all assembly constituencies across the state will be transported via special buses. Around 13,000 attendees are expected, including approximately 7,000 from the nearby districts of Eluru, Krishna, NTR, and Guntur. At least 500 participants will be brought in from Palnadu, East Godavari, and West Godavari districts, while 300 people from more distant districts such as Manyam, Alluri Seetharamaraju, Chittoor, Annamayya, Kurnool, Anantapuram, and Sri Sathya Sai will also be attending. The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has deployed necessary buses to facilitate smooth transportation.
The government has appointed IG Harinarayana from the Stamps and Registration Department, along with three other senior officials, to oversee the transportation process. Additionally, a nodal officer has been assigned to each district, and a liaison officer will be present on each bus. For those traveling from nearby districts, food arrangements, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, will be provided on the day of the event.
Extensive preparations are being carried out at the event site. The setup includes the installation of waterproof German tents and leveling of the ground to accommodate the large gathering. Additionally, work on VIP parking, general parking zones, and other logistical arrangements is progressing swiftly with the help of JCBs.
