208 Pakistanis in Hyderabad ordered to leave within 48 hours

On the orders of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Telangana DGP Jitender got into an alert mode on Friday. After receiving information that there were more than 200 Pakistanis staying in Hyderabad, a high alert was declared.
Pakistanis in Telangana were immediately ordered to leave India. They were told that their visas would be cancelled after April 27. They were ordered to leave immediately. Medical visa holders were given a chance until April 29. They were also ordered to not stay here even for a moment after the deadline. They were warned that if they want to stay in Telangana illegally, they will not be left alone.
They were also warned that they will be taken out from the city forcibly if they fail to comply with the orders of the Central government besides taking legal action against them. Attari-Wagah border will be open till April 30 for the passage of the Pakistanis. According to the police officials, there are 208 Pakistanis in Hyderabad. DGP Jitender said surveillance had been put on Pakistanis in Hyderabad. Earlier, the Centre had ordered Pakistanis to leave the country within 48 hours.
To this end, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to the Chief Ministers of the respective States. He suggested that arrangements be made to identify the Pakistani nationals in the respective States and send them back. He asked that Pakistanis living locally should first be identified and that information should be sent to the Centre in order to cancel their visas. In the past, many Pakistanis were given opportunities to visit India under the India-SAARC Visa Extension Scheme.
