Nawazuddin Siddiqui, known for his remarkable versatility and range in Indian cinema, is set to premiere his latest film I’m Not an Actor at the prestigious 2025 Cinequest Film Festival in California this March. The actor, whose career has spanned a wide array of genres, is also a producer for the film under his production banner, Side Hero Entertainment.

The film marks a new chapter for Siddiqui, who plays the role of a banker who embarks on a journey to learn acting. “The idea of me playing a banker who learns acting was exciting from the start. I’d never heard of a script like this,” he shared. He also added that the film, directed by Aditya, delves deeply into the craft of acting, making it an intriguing project.

Siddiqui reflected on the unique challenges faced during the shoot, saying, “While I was freezing at 2 degrees in Frankfurt, in India sometimes due to extreme heat the cameras would overheat, and we’d have to stop shoot for hours.”

Having already made waves at renowned festivals like Cannes with films such as Monsoon Shootout, Miss Lovely, and Manto, Siddiqui is also the only actor in the world with eight films officially selected at the Film Festival Junction.
