Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) recently witnessed a vibrant send-off as a contingent of 50 students across Telangana embarked on a transformative journey to NIT Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh. This exciting endeavor is part of the Yuva Sangam program, a flagship initiative under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) umbrella, aimed at fostering unity and understanding among the diverse regions of India.
The participating students, hailing from various universities and colleges across Telangana, represent a vibrant cross-section of academic disciplines. Their seven-day sojourn in Himachal Pradesh promises to be an immersive experience, offering a unique blend of cultural exploration, technological insights, and social interaction. The program, meticulously designed by the Ministry of Education, focuses on five key pillars: Paryatan (Tourism), Parampara (Tradition), Pragati (Development), Paraspar Sampark (People-to-people connect), and Prodyogiki (Technology).
Addressing the enthusiastic contingent, Prof. P. F. Rahman, the In-charge Vice-Chancellor of MANUU, underscored the profound significance of Yuva Sangam. He emphasized that this initiative transcends mere tourism; it serves as a powerful platform for young minds to connect with the rich tapestry of Indian culture, history, and achievements. By experiencing the diverse landscapes, traditions, and developmental strides of Himachal Pradesh firsthand, the students will gain invaluable insights into the unique character of different regions and the remarkable diversity that defines our nation.
Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, Dean and Head of Mass Communication at MANUU and the Nodal Officer for Yuva Sangam Program in Telangana urged the students to actively engage with the local communities, embrace the opportunity to learn from their experiences, and contribute meaningfully to the cultural exchange. Prof. Fariyad stressed that Yuva Sangam is not merely a sightseeing tour; it is a transformative journey of self-discovery and cross-cultural learning.
Nandini Agasara, a bronze medalist and a chief guest in the flag off program, eloquently articulated the profound impact of Yuva Sangam. She emphasized that this initiative provides a unique platform for young people to contribute to nation-building by fostering a deeper understanding of India's diverse heritage and fostering a sense of shared responsibility towards the nation's progress.
Mr. Meraj Ahmad, who is Assistant Nodal Officer, highlighted the multi-faceted nature of the program.
