Former Deputy General Manager of Singareni Colleries Company Limited(SCCL) stated that Indian engineers are highly valued and respected in foreign countries such as Mozambique, Nigeria, Ghana, and in European nations.
Drawing from his experience of working in Singareni for over two decades and later in international engineering firms, he emphasized that Indian engineers, regardless of the organization they work for, have a strong work ethic, a commitment to maximizing company profits, and deep technical knowledge. He noted that this is why Indian engineers in fields such as aerospace, civil, telecommunications, mining, mechanical, marine, and architecture are competing globally.
The two-day National Conference on National Energy Security -Exploration and mining of critical Minerals and Elements” held at the Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI), Gachibowli, concluded on Tuesday, February 11. The chief guest, Balakoti Reddy stressed the need for engineers to continuously update their skills. He encouraged them to embrace emerging technologies and actively participate in national and international conferences, which would enable them to contribute more effectively to both India and the global engineering sector.
Speaking on the occasion, ESCI Director, Dr. G. Rameshwar Rao, emphasized that the Centenary Convention Centre at ESCI’s campus has been developed to serve as an ideal venue for national and international conferences. He highlighted that the facility includes seminar halls, a techno hub, exhibition halls, and a state-of-the-art auditorium to support various technical and academic gatherings.
