In a responsible move, Greater Hyderabad Deputy Mayor Mothe Srilatha Shobhan Reddy, along with TTUC State President Mothe Shobhan Reddy, hoisted the national flag at the GHMC headquarters on Republic Day. While on their way to the Tarnaka Camp office, they noticed a GHMC waste collection vehicle improperly disposing of waste on the Telugu Talli Flyover, causing a foul smell.

The Deputy Mayor immediately stopped the vehicle and scolded the driver for negligence. She questioned the driver about the improper waste disposal, emphasizing the contradiction of cleaning the surroundings while carelessly spreading waste. She expressed her anger over the negligence in maintaining waste collection vehicles and instructed the relevant authorities to take immediate action.

She further stated that such negligence undermines the hard work of sanitation workers in keeping the city clean and warned that strict actions would be taken to prevent such incidents from recurring.
