A gems and jewellery park would be established in Mangalagiri said Minister for Education and IT, Nara Lokesh. Land for the project has been identified, and design work is in progress. The initiative aims to support goldsmiths and artisans by providing financial aid and training. A special corporation has been set up for their welfare, with funds allocated in the state budget.

Shri Bhagwan Mahavir Goshala modernized

Lokesh inaugurated the modernized Shri Bhagwan Mahavir Goshala in Yerrabalem village, alongside Union Minister Pemmasani Chandrasekhar and participated in the installation ceremony of the Shri Bhagwan Mahavir idol and unveiled the statue of Gopal Murti. Highlighting the long-standing efforts of the Jain community in managing the goshala for 25 years, he commended their dedication, noting that the facility has grown from sheltering just two cows to housing 450.

The minister assured government support for such initiatives to ensure cattle are not left wandering on the streets, reducing road accidents and public inconvenience. The coalition government, he stated, is working towards establishing more goshalas in Mangalagiri.

A traffic management design is being developed in collaboration with a central government agency, while the Prasad Scheme will facilitate the development of Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temples in Mangalagiri, modeled after Varanasi’s urban improvements. Plans include enhanced roads, lodging facilities, and an auditorium.

Speaking on allegations of political vendettas, Lokesh emphasized that the coalition government is not engaging in retributive politics but is strictly taking action against legal violations. The administration has upheld transparency in the appointment of Vice-Chancellors and will not spare those involved in past corrupt activities.

Union minister assures support to turmeric farmers

Union Minister Pemmasani Chandrasekhar assured that turmeric farmers, who suffered a Rs.40 crore loss due to a warehouse fire in Duggirala before the elections, would receive compensation within two weeks. He also announced that AIIMS Mangalagiri would see its capacity increase from 60% to 100%, ensuring better healthcare services.
