HYDRAA Commissioner Ranganath on Thursday said that the role of DRF teams was very crucial in all the duties performed by the Hydra. He said that the Hydra needs to work as per the state government's goals and expectations of the people and added that everyone should be vigilant in this regard. The commissioner was speaking at the inauguration of training of 357 newly inducted persons through the outsourcing system for DRFA on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the training would be held for a week for the new inductees at the Amberpet police training centre in the city.  He said that everyone needs to keep in mind that Hydra plays an important role as a government body. He said that Along with the lives of people in the event of natural calamities, the DRFs role in reducing property damage is crucial. Now hydra's duties have also been added. The state government is entrusting us with many responsibilities because of the trust it has in us and has also told us to take up the task of controlling the sand smuggling.

We have to do all this with utmost care and responsibility. Based on the merit list of those who are unable to get a police job due to the loss of a few marks, We have selected you keeping in mind the social aspect as well..
