The Dabeerpura police arrested five persons, who were allegedly involved in a dacoity case reported on February 11 at Dabeerpura Police Station limits here on Thursday. Arrested accused persons have been identified as Mohammed Abdullah (22), Mohammed Ayub (29), Sohail Khan (23), Syed Omeir (25), Shareef Osama Yamani (17).
Police have received a complaint from Mohammed Wahajuddin, that on February 8 at 11pm, near Seven Temple, Dabeerpura, he stopped his vehicle to drink the beer. Meanwhile, the accused persons approached him and demanded money. When he told them that he did not have any money with him, they suddenly began beating him with their hands.
One of them pulled him and threatened to kill him if he did not hand over the money and they forcefully took an amount of Rs 5000 from his pocket. They also searched his pockets and found his ATM cards. They took the ATM card and demanded his PIN. Out of fear, he provided it. Two of the accused then went to an ATM to withdraw money while the others stayed behind.
The two accused withdrew Rs 3,000 from his account. After some time, they returned and demanded more money. When he told them he had no more money with him, one of them took his Oppo A38 mobile phone, removed the SIM card, handed the SIM back to him, and they fled towards the Dabeerpura railway tracks.
Police seized an Oppo A38 mobile phone, net cash Rs 3000, One active vehicle and six mobile phones from the accused persons.
