Instructions have been issued from the Chief Ministers Office(CMO) to ministers who are yet to give performance reports. It has sought reports on the official programmes involving the ministers over the last seven months and the reforms implemented departmentally. It also directed that the implementation of the decisions, proposals under consideration and other information should be provided through six samples.

The CMO has suggested that if there is more than one department that is being monitored by the same minister, it should be informed separately accordingly. In a recent cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Chandrababu expressed his displeasure over only a few ministers giving reports. The CMO has once again issued instructions to the ministers who have not given reports.

CM Chandrababu recently held a meeting with the ministers. "Feedback on the performance of ministers and MLAs is being collected through IVRS.”We are getting information about the opinion of the people on the part of the government and also on the ministers," he said. Only three ministers have given self-appraisal on six months of performance.

Only Water Resources Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu ; Tribal Welfare, Women and Child Welfare Gummadi Sandhyarani and Micro-small-medium industries minister  Kondapalli Srinivas have given self-appraisal. Chandrababu commented that he was specially monitoring the performance of the ministers

The cabinet is scheduled to meet on February 6. The reports have to be submitted at that meeting itself. The ministers are in the process of preparing reports with the officials of their departments. This rating issue has created a stir among the ministers. The news that there is a possibility of changes in the cabinet on the basis of ratings has raised concerns among the ministers. Factors such as poor performance, allegations of corruption and lack of coordination are likely to affect the political future of the ministers.
